Event:    2012 SPILG Annual Auction
The Suffolk Public Interest Law Group (SPILG) Fellowship program provides funding for students working in otherwise unpaid summer internships with non-profit and government organizations. SPILG’s biggest fundraiser of the year is the SPILG Annual Auction. This year’s silent auction will be held in Sargent Hall from February 28 to March 1, 2012. The live auction will be held in the Function Room on March 1, 2012, starting at 6 p.m. To donate an item to this year’s auction, please contact spilgauction@gmail.com.

How Can I Use Social Media to Attract Clients?

Are you interested in using the Internet and social media marketing to enhance your reputation, get clients, or increase your business – but not sure exactly what you need or how to get started?

Developing an effective content strategy is a key factor for professionals that wish to cultivate and expand their business. Today, successful companies and lawyers, use a blend of blogs, Facebook fan pages, newsletters, websites, and YouTube video as part of their marketing strategy.

Learn what vehicles are best suited for your legal needs and the pitfalls to avoid.

Speakers:

Larry Ross, President, Doctor of Content Larry is a former writer, editor, and producer of cable TV documentaries for the Discovery Channel, the National Air & Space Museum, and PBS’s American Experience and NOVA series. Larry will discuss the nuts and bolts of establishing a social media presence.

Justin L. Kelsey, JD’04 founding Partner, K E L S E Y & T R A S K, P.C. Justin will talk about how their firm successfully uses a Blog, Website, Web- calculators, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook accounts.
