INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY CONCENTRATION : ENROLLMENT Enrollment in the IP Law Concentration is easily accomplished by filing a Notice of Enrollment form with the Registrar's Office. This can occur as early as the student's third semester in law school. Formal enrollment in the IP Law Concentration is complete once the Notice of Enrollment form is filed. Once enrolled in the Concentration, students will be invited to participate in a variety of special programs of interest to intellectual property practitioners. Concentration students will be invited to Advanced Legal Studies programs. Recent programs have included such national, prominent intellectual property law experts as Paul Goldstein of Stanford and Jonathan Zittrain of Harvard. Suffolk has also hosted talks by prominent intellectual property attorneys such as Mark Fischer, Ike Williams, Karen Copenhaver, David Gibbs and Lois Wasof. The Concentration is the frequent sponsor of intellectual property symposia featuring nationally recognized academics and lawyers. Upon completion of the required courses, elective courses, the writing requirement and total credit hours required by the IP Law Concentration, as discussed more fully below, students must complete and file a Notice of Concentration Completion form with the Registrar's office. |
