With the economy in flux, now is the time to perfect your knowledge of bankruptcy law with Bankruptcy Law and Practice: An in-depth Series. This program focuses on Chapter 11 business cases and gives you the comprehensive review of the substance and procedure that you need to practice effectively.

This course is designed for those with some bankruptcy experience, but we start the series with a special double session to provide an initial presentation of basic principles and procedures for lawyers who feel they need a refresher. The sessions that follow illustrate the evolution of the bankruptcy process. The final session on Thursday, November 8 is a mock Confirmation Hearing and will be held at the United States Bankruptcy Court, with Bankruptcy Judge Joan N. Feeney presiding.

This course will be particularly useful for lawyers who do not specialize in bankruptcy law, but who find that bankruptcy issues are arising with increasing frequency in their practice of real estate law, intellectual property law, and other specialties. Younger associates or those who are transitioning into bankruptcy practice will benefit from the comprehensive coverage and expert faculty. A hypothetical case that highlights practical concerns serves as the basis for a useful set of forms and sample pleadings. In addition, each registrant will receive Fundamentals of Bankruptcy Law, 4th Edition, Treister, Trust, Forman, Klee & Levin, published by ALI-ABA.

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and develop a sophisticated set of skills in bankruptcy practice.
