The course will present the fundamentals of the Myers-Briggs Personality Inventory, which is used by human resource managers and psychologists to help understand themselves and their natural preferences, as well as those of others. Understanding personality types provides paralegals and attorneys with skills to help in many areas of practice: time management, client and co-worker relationships, delegating work to others, and learning new techniques for managing workloads.
In addition to discussing the challenges of personal and interpersonal issues in the legal workplace, this course will offer an in-depth review of the principles of the Myers-Briggs Inventory and will discuss practical strategies for applying what participants have learned. Participants will receive materials which describe their personality type and will benefit from an understanding of each of the sixteen personality types.
Who Should Attend:
This program will benefit paralegals and attorneys who seek a clearer understanding of themselves and those with whom they work by learning about the personality types of the Myers-Briggs Inventory. Also, anyone in a law office who delegates work and manages others will gain useful management skills.

CENTER for ADVANCED LEGAL STUDIES SUFFOLK UNIVERSITY LAW SCHOOL The Center for Advanced Legal Studies at Suffolk University Law School was founded over 20 years ago as a result of Suffolk’s commitment to lifelong learning for legal professionals. The Center creates continuing legal education (CLE) programs that are on the cutting edge of legal thinking and are also rich in practical application. Approximately 30 institutes, symposia, conferences and programs are offered per year. Programs produced by the Center range from evening forums, to one-day colloquia dealing with recent developments in a particular area of law, to multi-day institutes, which focus on different areas of law. The skill level also ranges from advanced courses geared to experienced attorneys to fundamental courses which are geared toward new attorneys and paralegals.
The Center seeks to expand the curriculum to include additional CLE courses geared toward paralegal practice. We invite you to share any suggestions regarding future speakers or topics.
