End of life decisions have dominated the news over the past several months and both fascinated and dismayed the public. Disparate political opinions and confusing court hearings have created a tempest. We invite you to attend this conference and participate fully in an open and interactive dialogue about this fascinating subject which touches each and every one of us. You will hear from panelists who have significant experience in their professional lives engaging with these issues on a daily basis. All of the nuances involved in the various choices that an individual faces will be explored and examined. The goal is to increase both the audience’s and the panelists’ capacity to appreciate more fully how to best meet the need for dignity, individuality, and grace for each dying person.
Who Should Attend:
Given the range of these decisions, different professions as well as families from diverse cultural perspective are affected. This seminar is intended to benefit family members, social workers, nurse practitioners, lawyers, ethicists, doctors, and nurses. Each will have the opportunity to share opinions and experiences during this interactive program. Whatever your level of experience and expertise, whether you are new to these issues or approach them with decades of experience, we intend to provide a stimulating, provocative, and ultimately informing experience.
