This conference features national experts, including both current and former government officials, who will share insights on how to navigate agency matters and case problems. While novice practitioners are certainly welcome and indeed encouraged to attend, this program will not focus on the basic “how-to’s” of immigration filings. Rather, renowned national AILA experts and key government officials will provide guidance and recommendations on issues ranging from EOIR practice to PERM cases.
The conference will open with a Hot Topics panel. This panel will analyze and advise on the latest legislation, including Comprehensive Immigration Reform, the most recent agency policy guidance, and USCIS reorganization and its resulting impact, as well other changes affecting your practice.
After you digest the latest news, CIS, CBP, and ICE officials, with AILA liaisons, will talk about realities on the ground and offer practical solutions through analyzing real world hypotheticals. Next, hear the latest on bispecialization and Service Center policies and practices which shape the adjudication of cases.
The remainder of the conference will allow participants to choose between business immigration and EOIR/family immigration tracks. These interactive panels will permit participants to explore creative solutions to the difficulties immigration practitioners deal with daily. Our experts will share their knowledge and experiences - what has worked and what has failed. Ample time for questions and answers will be provided.
This conference will offer solutions to the practical and strategic obstacles all immigration lawyers, from the new to the most seasoned, face.
