ABOUT THE CONFERENCE Social media networks such as Facebook, Habbo, Twitter, and YouTube represent the emergence of a user-generated paradigm creating new legal dilemmas as well as marketing possibilities. Facebook now has over 800 million registered users. Habbo, a site devoted to teenagers, has 200 million users. Twitter, the microblogging site, has 175 million users, followed by LinkedIn with 120 million users. These rapidly evolving social network websites raise new regulatory, employment, privacy, tort and intellectual property issues that will be the subject of this conference.
