Highlighting the 39th Annual Fuchs Conference are Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon and Solicitor of Labor Patricia Smith. Both federal officials are committed to fully discussing their reforms with the bar and the public. Our panel of lawyers and academics, joined by Solicitor Smith and Acting General Counsel Solomon, will focus on actions taken and challenges faced by the DOL or Board over the past four years, and will look at what might lie ahead during the next four years. Don’t miss this exclusive opportunity to meet with your colleagues, program faculty, and the leaders of the labor and employment bar.

REVIEWING THE PAST FOUR YEARS AND CONTEMPLATING THE NEXT FOUR |
- What have been the most significant developments at the NLRB and at the DOL on the practice of labor and employment law and on the workplace?
- Were there any developments that were anticipated as having a major impact on cases at the NLRB or under the DOL regulatory statutes that did not have such an impact?
- What courses should the NLRB and the DOL embark upon if President Obama is reelected?
- What change in policy and the law at the NLRB and the DOL should be anticipated if Mitt Romney is elected President?
- To what extent would the implementation of such changes depend upon the composition of the House and the Senate?
- What, if any, is the carryover effect of Wisconsin?
