ABOUT THE CONFERENCE The rapid changes in the Entertainment and Advertising/Marketing Industries triggered by technological advances that have rapidly evolved beyond the law, prompt a much needed retrospective on the past and present and how to look behind the future’s curtain and prepare. Amid this evolving marketplace, practitioners schooled on statutes, laws, regulations and formerly tried and true contracts, now balance bedrock client intellectual property protection and other vested interests against the need to promote, license, sell and produce creatively…and fast.
This program addresses a wide range of topics reflective of the “closer than ever” legal challenges brought about by the digital marketplace and the breakneck pace of creative business and enterprise. Common issues and related risks and benefits between and among marketing/advertising, traditional entertainment and sports properties, television and music, film tax credits, biz kids and reality TV and artist centric contracts will be addressed. This program has something for just about every practitioner who works directly or tangentially with creative clients and properties in the entertainment, sports and advertising/marketing arenas. The expert panelists include private practitioners, in-house counsel and an experienced director of a not for profit company.

- Troubleshooting brand licensing in sports
