| CIVIL LITIGATION CONCENTRATION
The outstanding education provided to those seeking to practice litigation is among the most prominent reasons
students attend Suffolk University Law School. Nearly 100 years of tradition in preparing civil litigators has
earned Suffolk University Law School a reputation for excellence in this cornerstone of legal practice.
Suffolk University Law School has furthered its reputation by establishing a Concentration in Civil Litigation.
The Macaronis Civil Litigation Concentration is designed to recognize those exceptional students who have not only
focused their course of law school study in the civil litigation area, but also have excelled in their studies. The
requirements for the Concentration are rigorous, and those students who take the challenge can be assured that they
are among the best-trained law school graduates in the country in the field of civil litigation.
The Concentration curriculum
has recently been enriched by the Law School's faculty, thus ensuring
the program's continued leadership in the preparation of ethical
and effective litigators. The most visible testaments to the excellence
of our Civil Litigation Concentration, however, are the scores of
Suffolk Law alumni who have become some of the most successful trial
lawyers, judges and public servants in the nation.
The Concentration includes five required core courses and participation in a clinical program or internship approved
by the Concentration Faculty Director. The Concentration also gives credit for numerous electives related to litigation.
The core courses provide the general litigation skills required in practice. The internship or clinical experience gives
students the opportunity to put classroom learning into real-world application. Electives allow students to focus on areas
of law that correspond to individual interest.
Suffolk University Law School is proud that its curricular offerings in civil litigation are among the most extensive in
the country. We encourage students to take advantage of the opportunities that the Civil Litigation Concentration offers
to learn to be superlative litigators.
