| In 2008, there were more than 70 lawyers in Budapest at different
stages of progress towards the degree.
Candidates came from 30 countries from around the world:
Albania, Argentina, Austria, Brazil, China, Czech Republic,
Denmark, Dominican Republic, Germany, Honduras, Hungary, Iran, Italy,
Lebanon, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Northern
Ireland, The Philippines, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, South
Africa, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, and Ukraine.
Some had substantial legal experience in their local jurisdiction
representing international clients, and some were young lawyers advancing
their careers.

These statistics are revealing, because they clearly establish that
the program achieves a very high level of sophistication and adds educational
value to lawyers with as much as thirty years of legal experience,
in some cases.
Most importantly, and this is very exciting for us, we will graduate
the first class to earn the LL.M. in U.S. and Global Business Law at
the Suffolk University Law School Commencement ceremony in May 2009.
Approximately 25 lawyers from all over the world will come to receive
their diplomas and to enjoy the weekend's festivities in Boston. |
