BUDAPEST LLM : THE PROGRAM
Two credit post summer research projects can be undertaken after the conclusion of each summer session, under the supervision of a faculty member, chosen by the candidate, and approved by a Committee of the Faculty and the Program Director. These projects should enable the LL.M. candidate to put his or her own program or the entire course of study into a comparative, transnational or personal perspective. This may be accomplished online, by oral presentation, through email, facsimile or other means of communication. Candidates who choose not to participate in every post summer research project or online course have the opportunity to attend a fourth summer to complete the remaining requirements for completion of the degree. Each of these additional and alternative opportunities may reduce the time taken to earn the LL.M. in U.S. and Global Business Law. Each session will be considered separate, as well as, cumulative. This offers a certain flexibility in that a lawyer or law graduate may choose to consider the "Certificate track," which would enable him or her to take courses during a summer session without applying to be a candidate for the LL.M. degree. Any such participant in the "Certificate" Budapest program may earn a Certificate from Suffolk University Law School for the successful completion of all six credits offered at any particular Budapest summer session. We also offer the "Non-degree/Non-certificate track" in which a candidate is able to take a course or courses for his or her own professional development and growth. |
