INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY : THESIS OR LEGAL WRITING REQUIREMENT
Students may graduate with distinction in the IP Law Concentration by writing a Thesis of publishable quality under the direction of a full-time member of the Suffolk University Law School faculty. The Thesis must be completed by the penultimate semester of the student's residency, but arrangements for faculty supervision and topic approval (as well as significant work on the project) should be initiated at least three semesters before anticipated graduation. Thesis topics must relate to intellectual property and must be approved by one of the IP Law Concentration Faculty Directors and the supervising resident faculty member. Two (2) course credits will be awarded for the successful completion of the Thesis.
Thesis students should review "Frequently Asked Questions and Answers About the Intellectual Property Thesis," which is available online at www.law.suffolk.edu/academic/ip/faq.cfm or in the Law Registrar's office.
Alternatively, students may choose to satisfy to satisfy the Concentration's legal writing requirement by meeting the Law School's Legal Writing Requirement in connection with an approved IP Law Concentration course. |
