Ms. Michelle Carron
2 credits day; credits evening.
This course studies aspects of post-mortem real and personal property transfer by operation of wills and intestate statutes. The course is segmented into three general areas of consideration: the purposes and limitations of 1) estate administration, 2) wills statutes, and 3) intestate statutes. The course provides a detailed treatment of the components and operation of estate administration and wills. A take-home course project will engage students in practical application of legal theory and policy considerations.
