COURSE DESCRIPTIONS


Cyberspace&Technology Seminar: Legal Issues, Research and Practice in Cyberspace
Mr. Cyrus Daftary, Mr. Todd Krieger
2 credits day; 2 credits evening.

Students will be graded on the paper (25%), Presentation (25%), Project (25%) and Class Participation (25%)

This course will explore current legal issues related to advanced technology from a practical perspective, with topics ranging from doing business on the internet to software licensing to electronic voting, and many more. The course is designed to provide students an opportunity to experience these issues through the use of new technology. In addition to participating in classroom discussions, students will work in teams to draft a business plan for a technology company and create an associated web site, which they will present to the class. Students are also required to draft a paper on a related legal issue.
