International Sales

2 credits day; 2 credits evening.

This course will explore the international aspects of Sales law. Specifically, the course will compare and contrast the concepts and methods of the United Nations Convention on Contracts with Article 2 (Sales) of the Uniform Commercial Code. Issues of scope, formation of contract, warranties, risk of loss, performance, and remedies will be emphasized and discussed comparatively.The course incorporates primarily a problem-based approach to the issues; however, some domestic as well as international case law will be discussed. Modern day issues pertaining to globalization and the international sale of goods will be addressed.




  Prerequisite: Contracts Law
