The Rappaport Center for Law and Public Service at Suffolk University Law School fosters innovative thinking on law and public policy and promotes emerging leaders who are deeply committed to public service and pro bono work. For a comprehensive list of Federal Government job search sites, resources and publications, view the Federal Government/Public Policy Resources Handout.  This important handout includes access to PSLawNet (the searchable database of government jobs, employers and resources), the University of Arizona Law School’s database of federal and state government offices, application deadlines and requirements, and much more.

Annual Government and Public Interest Interview Programs – The Massachusetts Law School Consortium (of which Suffolk Law School is an active member) holds two interview programs for government and public interest employers during the academic year. Approximately 50 employers interview students for summer and post-graduate positions. The first program will be held at Boston College Law School on October 17 and 18, 2011 (2LD/3LE and 3LD/4LE students are eligible) and the second will be at Suffolk Law School on January 26 and 27, 2012 (1LD/2LE, 2LD/3LE, and 3LD/4LE students are eligible). Bidding has closed for the October program, but you can view a list of participating employers on the CDO website. Bidding for the January program will open the middle of November and close at noon on Friday, December 2, 2011.

Conferences & Continuing Legal Education

Suffolk University Law School's Advanced Legal Studies (ALS) Center for CLE & Academic Conferences seeks to create in-depth continuing legal education for the legal community by utilizing the strengths and resources of the law school and the expertise of the bench and the bar. Their programs are built around members of the Suffolk faculty and experienced lawyers and judges. By carefully crafting the curriculum for each program, preparing solid course materials, and employing vigorous and open discussion methods, these programs provide attendees with challenging and helpful educational opportunities.

All current Suffolk University Law School students can register for ALS Conferences, for FREE.
