INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (IIP): HOW TO APPLY

To apply, please submit the following documents listed below using ALL 3 methods:

ONLINE:
  • A Completed Formal Application for Admission
  • List of up to three Preferences of Locations, as part of online formal application 
  • US $250 Non-Refundable Application Fee for an internship, made during checkout and completion of your formal online application

EMAIL: to Mary Sawicki (add your name and attached documents in email subject line)
  • Curriculum Vitae/Resume
  • Personal Statement (translation in your desired foreign language is optional in support of your application)
  • Additional Preferences of Locations (beyond required three in application)
  • Statement or Proof of Foreign Language Skills (In a Word document, please provide 1-2 sentences as proof outlining your foreign language skills)
  • One Letter of Recommendation from either a law professor or law-related employer

  • Current Official Law School Transcript, from your Registrar's Office (PDF transcripts may be emailed in lieu)
  • Proof of Academic Good Standing, from your Registrar or Dean of Students (PDF Letter of Good Standing may be emailed in lieu)

Admission Process

Applications and all necessary documents ("complete applications") should be submitted at least three months before the intended date of commencement. Completed applications for summer internships between June 1 and August 15 must be received by Suffolk University Law School by February 1, 2013. Suffolk Law School will notify applicants whether or not the application is complete.

Admitted applicants will be notified by CILS and Suffolk Law School of an offer of placement within two months of the date of the receipt of the completed application form and all required documents.
