SUMMER BOSTON : LIBRARY RESOURCES
Maintaining one of the best law libraries in New England, Suffolk University Law School
provides students with outstanding opportunities to develop their research skills. The
Moakley Law Library supplements the three computer laboratories on the sixth floor with three computer
classrooms of its own. Two of these facilities are available for student use whenever classes are
not scheduled. In addition, all seats throughout the Library are wired for laptop use,
including Westlaw and Lexis and Internet access.
The library's collection of more than 300,000 volumes is augmented by access to numerous
electronic databases, state-of-the-art video facilities, and CD-ROM technology.
While the facilities are important and impressive, the staff's commitment to service
is the library's fundamental strength. The staff's first priority is to create an atmosphere
in which students feel completely comfortable when learning to do legal research. The staff
also provides training in LEXIS, WESTLAW and other computer systems, conducts database and
interlibrary loan searches, and welcomes the opportunity to work one-on-one with students.
The highly qualified library staff look forward to helping you polish your research skills.
