SUMMER STUDY : SWEDEN : ACADEMIC PROGRAM

This program is approved by the American Bar Association.

The classroom experience is enriched by visits to the courts of either Sweden or nearby Denmark. In addition, there will be opportunities to socialize both formally and informally with law faculty and members of the Swedish Bar and Judiciary.

To enhance the program's global perspective, in some classes members of the University of Lund Law Faculty will co-teach with American Law Faculty.

All courses comply with the standards of the American Bar Association and the Association of American Law Schools. Students must contact their respective law schools regarding residence credits and, where appropriate, converting semester credits to a quarter system. Participation in this or any foreign summer program is unlikely to accelerate graduation. Students should review ABA Standard 304, Interpretation 4 in this regard.

There is ample leisure time throughout the program, however, class attendance is mandatory for all enrolled students, American and International.

Upon completion of the program, a grade report will be mailed by Suffolk University Law School to the student's designated home address, and a transcript to the student's law school. The transferability of credits must be determined by the student's current law school. Students should seek approval of credits from their own school in advance of application.

The grading scale is the same as that regularly applied at Suffolk Law School. Students will be graded on a scale of 0.00 to 4.00 (courses are generally not taught on a pass/fail basis). Suffolk Law School student's grade will be included as part of their G.P.A.
