ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

SUMMER STUDY : SWEDEN : ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The program is ideal for J.D. students who have completed at least one year of academic work prior to TBD, LL.M. candidates at American law schools, advanced students from foreign law programs, law practitioners, judges and law teachers from all legal traditions.

Students from an American law school other than Suffolk University Law School are required to furnish a letter of good standing as part of the application process.

Enrollment in this program is limited and early application is encouraged to avoid disappointment.

Applications will be accepted beginning TBD and must be received no later than TBD. Applications received after this date, which are accompanied by the registration fee and payment then due, will only be considered subject to space and accommodation availability. Please complete and return the 2010 application form accompanied by a non-refundable $TBD registration fee to the Law School Registrar's Office. All payments, including tuition are due by TBD.

Suffolk University Law School evening division students who hope to use credits from this program to accelerate graduation, should first speak to the Law School Registrar, Lorraine Cove.

 

REGISTRATION CHECKLIST

  1. The Lund Summer Program Application, 2010, the Consent and Release Form, and registration fee must be completed and sent to the Law School Registrar's Office. The application will be available in January 2010.

  2. Upon acceptance the Health and Accident Insurance Certification Form (HAINS) must be submitted. The HAINS form will be included with the 2010 Application.

  3. If you are not a student at Suffolk Law School, request that your Dean or Registrar send us a letter of good standing on your behalf.

  4. Send us the remainder of your tuition, housing and activities fee payment by TBD.

  5. Make sure your Passport is current. Passports must be valid for at least three months after the end of the summer program.

  6. If you are a non-U.S. citizen it may be necessary for you to obtain a visa in order to attend the program. Please contact yor embassy early and determine whether a visa is necessary and start the paperwork. If you need a letter of invitation from the University of Lund as part of the visa process please contact thE Suffolk University Program Director, Professor Bernard Ortwein, bortwein@suffolk.edu as soon as you start the process.

    NOTE: U.S. citizens DO NOT need a visa to visit Sweden during the period of the program.
