| SPOTLIGHT: Suffolk Law Student Named Drinan Fellow
|
Casey Groff, a third-year evening student, was named this year’s recipient of the Thomas J. Drinan Memorial Fellowship, awarded annually to fund the summer employment of a Suffolk Law student.
“It’s a tremendous honor,” said Groff. “It’s amazing to have the support of so many attorneys involved in the Drinan Committee.”
Named for public defender and federal prosecutor Thomas J. Drinan JD ’76, the Drinan Fellowship is granted to a Suffolk Law student who demonstrates a commitment to the highest standards of integrity and advocacy within the criminal justice system. Since 1988, the Drinan Committee has chosen one student for a 10-week summer position in a public office in Massachusetts engaged in the prosecution or defense of criminal cases. |
