| IMPORTANT MESSAGES |
|
*Attention MySpace and Facebook.com users*
The Career Development Office has learned that some employers are researching applicants by checking out their MySpace and Facebook pages. In some cases, employers have rejected candidates after seeing material on these websites inconsistent with the image of most law firms and corporations. We recommend that you take a close look at your profile, putting yourself in the shoes of a risk-averse employer. Remember that employers are looking for someone they can trust to interact with clients and with sensitive and confidential information. Delete any text or images you wouldn’t want a potential employer to see. If you have questions, see a career counselor in the CDO.
*SYMPLICITY INFORMATION*
The Career Development Office uses a web-based recruiting system for all recruitment programs and job postings- Symplicity:
https://law-suffolk-csm.symplicity.com/students
All students and graduates will have a profile in the system. If you need your login information, please contact the CDO.
*JUDICIAL CLERKSHIP APPLICATIONS*
All students applying for Judicial Clerkships must fill out a clerkship registration form on Symplicity and follow certain procedures for requesting faculty recommendation letters. Instructions are available in the Handouts/Resources section of the site. You should review the procedures in the handout Step 3 - The Application Process, and a list of target dates in the handout Applying for a Judicial Clerkship - Timeline.
