ADJUNCT LAW FACULTY

Ralph Derbyshire is Deputy General Counsel, Personal & Workplace Investing, at Fidelity Investments. In this position, he is the head lawyer for divisions of Fidelity that provide defined contribution, defined benefit, health and welfare, payroll administration, and related human resource outsourcing services to employers and manages a group of 31 lawyers and product specialists. Prior to coming to Fidelity, he served as Head of Legal & Compliance at Mercer HR Services, as Chief ERISA Counsel to Putnam Investments, and as a partner in the Boston law firm of Palmer & Dodge. Mr. Derbyshire has an A.B. degree from Cornell University and a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School. At Suffolk University Law School, he will teach a course entitled ERISA and Retirement Plans.
