Ann McGonigle Santos
Associate Professor of Legal Writing

 S H O R T   B I O G R A P H Y

Prior to joining Suffolk Law School, Professor Santos was an Assistant District Attorney at the Middlesex County District Attorney s Office. Professor Santos tried several cases in both the District and Superior Courts, ranging from simple assault and battery to rape and attempted murder. She also prepared several memoranda and argued cases before the Massachusetts Appeals Court. In 1996, Professor Santos was named Mothers Against Drunk Driver s MADD Prosecutor of the Year. While in law school, Professor Santos was a teaching assistant and head teaching assistant in her second and third years in the Legal Writing and Research course for first year students. In addition, while at Northeastern University Law School, she clerked at the U.S. Attorney s Office in Boston and for Justice Bruce Selya of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
