Susan A. Atlas


 S H O R T   B I O G R A P H Y

Susan A. Atlas has represented clients in complex divorce and child custody matters for nearly a decade. She has also handled cases involving paternity, abuse, interstate custody disputes and grandparental visitation rights. She has been appointed by Probate Courts in Massachusetts as counsel to wards in guardianship proceedings and as Guardian Ad Litem and as Attorney for the Children in various probate matters.

In addition, Ms. Atlas represents clients in a wide range of sophisticated estate planning matters including the preparation of long-term trusts to preserve wealth for future generations; the establishment of sophisticated estate plans; the preparation of estate tax returns involving valuation issues and tax elections; the representation of executors involving tax audit of sophisticated estate tax returns; and the creation and funding of charitable remainder trusts.

Ms Atlas served as Legal Writing Assistant for Massachusetts Family Law Guidebook: A View From the Bench, by the Honorable Edward M. Ginsburg and Anita Robboy, Esq., 1992. (Butterworth).
