Michael Roitman is a sole practitioner in Boston. His current practice includes both the representation of indigent people accused of crimes and the representation of individual and corporate clients with civil business disputes in both state and federal courts. He has been a trial lawyer for over thirty years. Prior to working as a sole practitioner, he was: an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Bureau; an associate and then partner with the firm of Fine & Ambrogne; one of the founders of the firm of Cohn, Roitman & Kelakos and then practiced law as Of Counsel with the firms of Shapiro, Haber & Urmy and Engel & Schultz. Since 2005 he has been an Adjunct Professor at Suffolk University Law School teaching Pre-Trial Civil Litigation in the Fall Semester. Mr. Roitman graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College and magna cum laude from Boston College Law School where he was Editor-in Chief of the Boston College Law Review.
