Maureen McBrien is a partner at Brick & Sugarman, LLP where she focuses her practice on all aspects of family law. Her practice also includes litigation related to legal issues arising from the use of assisted reproductive technology. Maureen previously practiced family law in the domestic relations department at Todd & Weld, LLP in Boston.
Maureen is the co-author with Professor Charles P. Kindregan, Jr. of Assisted Reproductive Technology Law, a Lawyer’s Guide to the Emerging Law and Science, a text published by the American Bar Association in 2006 and again in 2011. She is the co-author with Professor Kindregan of the four-volume 4th edition of the Massachusetts Practices Series for Family Law. She has been an adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School since 2006. She is a council member in the family law section of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Maureen is a frequent speaker for MCLE and is also the author of several articles.
Maureen is a cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School, where she was a member of the Transnational Law Review. After law school, she was a law clerk for the justices of the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court. Attorney McBrien was named a Rising Star by Boston Magazine in family law from 2007 through 2011.
