Journal of High Technology Law Prospective Members
Open Write-On Competition
Each Spring, after finals, the Journal of High Technology hosts an Open Write On Competition for students specifically interested in joining this journal. The competition will consist of a Bluebook exercise and writing component. Competitors will be allotted two weeks to complete both portions.
Completed applications will be reviewed by current JHTL members. Submissions will be evaluated based on writing style, analysis and proper Bluebook form. The evaluation process is completely anonymous.
Eligibility Information
All Suffolk Law students are invited to compete in the Journal of High Technology Law Open Write On Competition. We welcome both day and evening students to submit applications as well as those students perusing dual degrees.

Closed Write-On Competition
Each summer a writing competition is held to select staff members for all journals. The competition is coordinated by Suffolk University Law Review. Eligible students will be asked to prepare case comments to be review by current JHTL members. The selection process is completely anonymous
Eligibility Information
Students entering the 2nd year day division and 3rd year evening division who rank in the top 25% of their respective sections will be invited to compete in the Closed Write On Competition. This privilege rewards the top student in each section
to join the JHTL without having to participate in the Open or Closed
Write-On Competitions. Students entering the 3rd year day or 4th year evening must rank with the top 15% of their class to compete in the closed competition.
