Intrascholastic Competitions

Every academic year, in addition to publishing the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy, the Moot Court Honor Board conducts four intrascholastic competitions.  Eligible Suffolk Law School students are invited to develop and hone their oral advocacy skills in an environment that promotes competition among peers and provides an invaluable learning experience for future lawyers.

Each competition is based on a record compiled and developed by members of the Moot Court Honor Board and argued before distinguished members of the legal community.  Competitors are critiqued on their overall courtroom demeanor as well as their ability to argue the substantive issue(s) presented in their case.

Intent to Compete forms may be picked up at the Moot Court office in room 420.  All competitors are responsible for reading the individual competition rules packet before signing this form.

For additional information concerning the competitions, please contact Christopher Lynett, Chief Competition Director.
