LAPTOP PRINTING

A dedicated laptop printer is located in the Computer Lab (Room 655).

For Windows XP Users:

1) Sign out the HP Laserjet 9000 CD from the Computer Lab and put it in the drive.

2) Browse to your control panel and click printers and faxes.

3) Click add printer, click next.

4) Click local printer attached to this computer. Leave the other options blank. Click Next.

5) Click create a new port. Select Standard TCP/IP Port from the dropdown menu. Click Next.

6) Click Next.

7) In Printer Name or IP type: 10.16.10.23.
Port Name should read IP_10.16.10.23. Click Next

8) Click Finish.

9) With the HP9000 driver disk in drive, click Have Disk.

10) Browse to the following path: lj9000pclwin2kxp

11) Click Next

12) Under Printer name type Law Laptop

Choose if you would like this printer to be your default printer.
Click Next.

13) Click No to print a test page and click next.

15) Click Finish.


For Windows Vista Users:

1) Browse to the Control Panel.

2) Under Hardware & Sound, choose Printer.

3) Click Add a Printer.

4) Click Add a Local Printer.

5) Click Create a New Port. Type of port: choose standard TCP/IP Port. Click Next.

6) Device Type: Choose TCP/IP Device.      Hostname or IP address: type 10.16.10.23      Port name should read: 10.16.10.23      Click Next.

7) HP Laserjet 9000 should automatically appear. Select this printer as your default printer. Click Next.

8) Click Finish.
