The Career Development
Office offers many recruitment programs during the fall season.
We encourage you to participate in any or all of these formal recruitment
programs, but it is extremely important for you to realize that
these programs are not the only way to secure a summer or permanent
position. These programs receive much attention, but it is
typically only the large law firms which are able to predict their
hiring needs for the next year and recruit in the fall. Only
an estimated 10% of all law students nationally are hired through
formal recruitment programs. The Career Development Office
offers many other programs and services
to help you reach your goals.
To participate in the
recruitment programs you will have to use Symplicity,
a web-based recruitment and database management system. Symplicity contains information on the organizations recruiting
at Suffolk this fall and allows you to research employers, apply
to employers, and sign up for interviews online.
