PRE-REGISTRATION FALL 2008
 
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PRE REGISTER ON CAMPUS CRUISER?
 
Students who have fulfilled tuition obligations for the Spring 2008 term, immunization requirements, and transcripts (first year) will be permitted to pre register on line.
 
HOW DO I PRE REGISTER FOR THE FALL 2008 SEMESTER?
 

Students preregister on Campus Cruiser>Student Services>Registration on assigned dates.

JD STUDENTS
Day students must register for a minimum of 13 credits and complete a yearly credit total of at least 27 credits.

Evening students must register for a minimum of 9 credits and complete a yearly credit total of at leas 21 credits.

NEW FIRST YEAR DAY AND EVENING STUDENTS 2008
Must complete required curiculum.

LLM STUDENTS
Full-time LLM students must register for at least 9 credits and no more than 12 credits per semester.

Part-time LLM students must register for at least 4 credits and no more than 8 credits per semester.

  1. View the "Registration Procedure - Training Video"
    available on Campus Cruiser>Student Services. Please review the video so that you will be familiar with the pre registration process and the registration screens prior to your schedule planning and pre registration day assisgnment. Printed registration instructions are also available in Student Services.
  2. Review the Fall 2008 Registration Guide
    to determine the courses you wish to take for the Fall 2008 semester. Students entering 2nd year evening must add 5A or 5B Property and Constitutional Law to their schedule. (Students enrolled in 4A enroll in the 5A sections; students enrolled in 4B register for the 5B sections).
  3. Plan your schedule on-line beginning March 31, 2008 on Campus Cruiser>Student Services>Registration
    1. Students should seek advice from advisors.

    2. May review course evaluations for Spring 2007 and Fall 2007 on Campus Cruiser>Student Services>Registration>Course Evaluations.

    3. Upper class student should review degree audit on Campus Cruiser>Student Services>Academic Profile>Degree Audit.


    Students will have the opportunity to plan their schedules prior to their assigned registration date by adding course selections (your "wish list") to the Preferred Section List.
    Search and Register for sections will permit you to search for a class and place the selected course on your preferred section list.
    Express Registration should be used to enter the course synonym number (5 digit unique number assigned to each course posted on elective list on the Registration Guide) and term; or subject, course number/section and term. Courses added by express registration will be added to the Preferred Section List.

    Please Note: Any number of courses may be added to the preferred section list, however, course conflicts, prerequisites, and class availability will only be checked when you select RG-Register from the drop down options (on your assigned registration day).

    Only the RM-Remove from the preferred section list will be active during the planning schedule period.

  4. Register for classes on your assigned date and time

    On your assigned registration date you will be able to move your preferred courses to registered status.

    Third Evening Students and LLM students
    Monday, April 7th at 8:00AM

    Second Year Day
    Tuesday, April 8th at 8:00AM

    Second Year Evening
    Wednesday, April 9th at 8:00AM

    First Year Day (and first year evening students transferring to the day)
    Thursday, April 10th at 8:00AM

    First Year Evening
    Friday, April 11th at 8:00AM

    Preregistration will end April 16, 2008 at midnight.

 
WAITLIST PROCEDURE

 

Any student who at the time of registration is closed out of a course(s) and is waitlisted for the course(s) will be notified by email, as space becomes available. Students notified of space availability in a course, may register on Campus Cruiser>Student Services>Manage my Waitlist.

All waitlist activity will be maintained on-line. This means that if you are placed on a waiting list and a space becomes available, you will be responsible for making the adjustment to your schedule. Notification of space availability will be by email only to your suffolk.edu email address.

Upon notification email, you will have 2 days to add the waitlisted course. If the course is not added within the 2 days of the email notification date, your eligibility to enroll in the waitlisted course will expire and your seat will be assigned to the next student. (If the email notification is sent on April 17, you will have only 1 day to add the course).


Students with course(s) listed as WAIT are not enrolled in the course. Faculty members will be provided with a course WAIT list with each student's numerical position. A student's position on the wait list is not accessible on Campus Cruiser, however you may contact the Registrar's Office for assistance.

 
WHAT IF I NEED TO MAKE CHANGES AFTER APRIL 16, 2008?
 
Campus Cruiser registration will reopen for a two-week period beginning July 14, 2008 and ending July 25, 2008 at midnight to allow students to make changes to their schedules. After July 25th, students must wait until the official add/drop period to make changes to their schedule. Add/Drop begins August 18, 2008 at 8:00AM, the first day of classes for the Fall 2008 semester. Add/Drop ends August 25, 2008 at midnight.
 
WHEN IS FALL 2008 TUITION DUE?
 
Tuition for the Fall 2008 semester is due on July 31, 2008.

WHAT IF MY TUITION IS NOT PAID BY July 31, 2008?
 
Deregistration will occur on August 6, 2008. Every attempt will be made to contact students with tuition problems.
 
WHEN DOES PRE REGISTRATION CONVERT TO MY OFFICIAL REGISTRATION?
