NOTEBOOK COMPUTING

All laptops must be scanned for viruses and obtain a certification sticker from Computer Services before connecting to the Sargent Hall Network ports (including wireless network). The Symantec Antivirus program is available free of charge to all registered students.

It is best and quickest if you download the Symantec antivirus program from Campus Cruiser and run a full scan within 3 days of your scheduled appointment. Click to schedule your certification.

In addition to the corporate edition of Symantec Antivirus, we also provide, without charge, the Microsoft Office Professional suite (including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and OneNote). The software bundle will be available on CD to the entering class when you get your laptop certified.

All registered Suffolk students are eligible for special pricing through HP if you wish to purchase a PC/laptop or Apple if you would prefer a MacBook.
